I'm using Flashblock. Why don't I hear sound notifications for incoming chats?

If you're using Flashblock, you won't be able to receive audio notifications for your incoming chats -- Flash must be enabled to hear notifications. You can adjust your settings in Flashblock if you'd like to use it in conjunction with Gmail. Here's how:
  1. Open Firefox.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Extensions.
  3. Double-click on Flashblock.
  4. Enter mail.google.com under Whitelist for Gmail.
  5. Enter www.google.com under Whitelist for iGoogle.
  6. Enter www.orkut.com under Whitelist for orkut.
  7. Click OK, and refresh your browser.
