If you no longer wish to receive your Google Voice phone calls in Gmail, you can easily disable it as a forwarding phone. To do so:
- Sign in to Google Voice.
- Navigate to Settings under the gear icon.
- In the Phones tab, uncheck the box next to Google Chat.
If you ever wish to begin receiving calls again, simply re-check this setting. You can also disable outbound calling in Gmail.
