Get booking requests via messaging

If you turned on messaging, customers can request a booking from your Business Profile on Google. The option to request a booking may also appear to customers when they message with a business. When you get a new message, it’s important to reply within 24 hours. Learn more about response time requirements.

This feature is available for select business owners in select business categories.

How the booking process works

  1. When a customer requests a booking, you'll get a message in the Google Maps app and the web messaging portal, for eligible users. You'll also get an email notification with a response form.
  2. In the message, you'll find a description of the customer's request and their preferred service time.
  3. You can send the customer your available dates and times.
  4. The customer will be prompted to confirm the date and time of the booking.
