Remove a book from Google Books

If you submitted the book you wish to remove

If you're a current Google Books partner and submitted this book through your account, you're welcome to request removal at any time.

If you didn't submit the book you wish to remove

If you hold the rights to this book but did not submit it to Google Books, please check how much of the book is viewable:

  • Whole pages of the book are visible. We recommend that you contact directly the party that submitted the book. In most cases, this is the publisher. To the side of each book preview, we display the name of the party by whose permission pages are displayed.

If you believe that you are the only party authorized to submit this book to Google Books, you can file a formal DMCA complaint.

  • Snippets of text (partial pages) are visible. This book was included in Google Books through the Library Project.

You can exclude your books from the Library Project. If you're a partner, you can do this from within your account. Otherwise, you'll need to provide us with a small amount of information about yourself, identify yourself as the rights owner, and let us know which books or serials to exclude.

  • The book is labeled "No preview available." The book in question is one of the many books that we've added to the Google Books index in a metadata-only view. Please keep in mind that this result does not contain copyrighted pages from the book itself — instead the record shows information about the book, including licensed bibliographic data such as the ISBN, author, publisher, and publication date, as well as search results from public websites. In effect, this is like seeing a library card catalog online. Our goal is to make the Google Books index as comprehensive as possible. For this reason, we may display multiple entries for a single book, including international editions or previously published versions.

In general, we do not remove metadata-only results from the index. However, if you believe the display of this information violates your rights as a copyright holder, you can file a formal legal complaint.
