We want Google Books to include books from all the world's languages and cultures. All of the prestigious libraries we're working with have books in many different languages, and we aren't limiting our scanning to English-language books. We are currently working with publishers from many countries around the world to include their books in the Partner Program, and there are already many foreign-language versions of Google Books. See, for example, http://livres.google.fr.
