[GA4] Report on conversions

Verify that Analytics has registered your events as conversions and get insights into user activity

The predefined reports in Analytics help you verify that Analytics has registered your events as conversions and get insights into user activity on your website or app. When you want to investigate your data further, you can create explorations or export your data to BigQuery.

Verify the conversion event

To verify that Analytics has registered an event as a conversion, trigger the event on your website or app and then check the Conversions by Event name card in the Realtime report. You should see the event name with at least one conversion next to the name in the card.

You can also navigate to the DebugView report and look for the event name. When Analytics registers the event as a conversion, you will see a flag next to the event name.

Once Analytics registers the event as a conversion, navigate to the Advertising reports, the Conversions report, and other reports to see your conversion data.

Advertising reports

The Advertising reports help you analyze, understand, and improve your online advertising efforts.. For example, the Conversion paths report helps you understand your users’ paths to conversion, the channels that initiate, assist, and close conversions, and how different attribution models distribute credit to those paths.

Conversions report

The Conversions report shows you which conversion actions are most common, how many people performed each action, and how much revenue is associated with each action.

Conversion metric

You can apply the Conversions metric to any report to see the number of conversions compared to the selected dimension. For example, the Conversions column in the Pages and screens report shows you the number of conversions per page or screen.

Many reports include the Conversions metric by default, such as the User acquisition and Traffic acquisition reports, which help you understand the source, medium, and campaign associated with different conversions.
