To partially charge an order in the Google Checkout Merchant Center:
- Sign in to your account.
- Click the appropriate order number in your Orders Inbox.
- Click Charge a partial amount.
- Enter the amount you want to charge your buyer in the box next to 'Charge order' and click Charge.
If you capture a partial order amount within seven calendar days of receiving an order, you'll only be guaranteed an authorization for the amount you captured. The remaining funds won't be guaranteed, even if you attempt to capture them within the original seven-day authorization period.
If you've performed an Order Processing API integration with Google Checkout, you can charge a buyer's credit card for a portion of the order total using the API. If you're using the XML API, you can also use the line-item shipping feature to provide different tracking numbers for individual items in an order.
Note: You'll be charged the standard transaction fee each time you partially capture funds.
