In addition to participating in the US-EU Safe Harbor Framework, Google offers a data processing amendment and model contract clauses as an additional means of meeting the adequacy and security requirements of the European Commission's Data Protection Directive.

You may opt in to the above amendments by visiting the Google Apps control panel. Click Domain Settings and then choose the General tab.

You may opt in to the data processing amendment alone, or in conjunction with the model contract clauses. To opt in to the model contract clauses you must first agree to the data processing amendment.
