Gmail is changing to a new look for all Google Apps accounts. Using a setting in your Google Admin console, you can make the new look the default for all your users now. Individual users can then choose to temporarily revert to the old look.
This means that, for the next few weeks, you can control over when all your users are opted-in to the new look, and can schedule your training and communications. We strongly recommend enabling the new look for your users in the month of November/early December.
Otherwise, your users will automatically see this new look as the default according to the rollout schedule.
